    1. am a man of few words, with no talent, but i like indulging in idle pleasures of writing poetry and novels.thanks for appreciating my meager writing skills

      1. This poem is so short but so evocative of my life! Indulgence, or in my case addiction, to drugs, alcohol, food, shopping and other things took me to the mouth of death. If I hadn’t been forced into rehab by my family I would probably be dead. Now a lot of my life is based on not indulging in the things I was addicted to before. http://bit.ly/1ER5cLY

  1. Thanks for showing interest in what I put out. I sincerely hope you continue to find my works entertaining & pleasurable. Be safe.

  2. I can only hope that a few words that I write can bring you some comfort –
Peace seem elusive – but I can still wish peace for you.
Continue writing, talent is only what others judge…and all hearts need to be heard.

  3. You should update the content of this page. As well as your blog tagline. You’re still using the default text.

  4. Thank you for following my blog and thank you for posting your poetry. Your style is unique and different. You stand out from the crowd and people take notice…well done, keep posting!

  12. Hi, thank you for following my blog. Your blog is a colorful informative blog with ur word-art! am lucky to be here & hope to read more of u!! Have good times:)

  13. Surprise – A genuine poet decides to follow Profiles In Courage… Too soon we forget the lessons of history, and repeat the errors. All those who died to preserve something better, and here we are – have we learned nothing? Thanks for the follow.

    1. thank you for your kind observation, yes, it does take alot of courage and patience for a writer to venture in to the past, analyse the historical events and then give them form, which he considers more appropriet. he may decide to probe in to matters which the society considers abit sensitive and embarrasing. often, for superficial peace, people tend to pretend that their history was all flowery and full of victories, for vulgar cohesion and gains , contentious races have inpast and now pretend to be sorry for past attrocities they commited aganist their neighbours. heroes will come and go, what will remain is their name and fame for sacrifices they made during their life time. we have learnt alot from mans savage past and his struggles in liberating himself from folly, equally he has fell and arose.human dignity is what man strife for, if undermined, disaster and contention comes to being. thank you.

  14. I find it a bit quizzical, that an obviously serious writer such as yourself, would take interest in my blog about art and decor. My meager poetry attempts (on the blog) are for fluff and fun. Whatever the reason, thank you for visiting my blog, and for sharing thoughts on yours.

    1. your lines are very disarming, i find your wits far more superior to my meager ones.it was my pleasure following you because you deserve it. do not under estimate your talent, keep up the good work. thank you.

  33. Thank you firstly for following my blog and liking the story. What was more joyful was to see to be liked by people of different world but that we all share the same aspirations when it comes to love, life or forgiveness

  34. I want to say a belated “thank you” for following “A Way With Words.” I find great joy in writing that is only surpassed when someone reads what I’ve written. As you’ll see, I write primarily about faith and mental illness, but I’m known to cover other topics on occasion as well as share a few stories (fiction and non-fiction) and even some rare poetry, so if you have any suggestions, just let me know.

I appreciate your poetic efforts here and hope to read more in the future. I pray you are blessed in your life and writing.

    1. Not really, but perhaps my constant reading may be the source of this influence. Thank you for taking time to visit me. Keep up the good work you are doing.

  35. Hi..I love your blog..just read a couple of poems. Beautiful.

And I am so sorry, but I will sink into indulgence whether you are pleased with that or not! 😀

Keep posting. I’m ready for reading. 🙂

  36. Thanks for complimenting my blog. I consider it as a bunch of mind states thrown into the words.
    Messy, just like me 😀

And do not be afraid, I have no intention of drowning.

I’m desperate for mind indulging, so I’ll just float and enjoy every second of it!
    😀

  38. Thank you for following our Blog generaliregi, it is appreciated and we hope you will be blessed as we share about life together.

To enjoy oneself is needed, we were even given the gift of Laughter but over indulgence ends in emptiness and feelings of loss, we need to fill up on what gives full satisfaction and that is Faith in Jesus, who fills us up so we overflow with Joy.

Christian Love from us both – Anne.

  39. Thank you for visiting my blog today. I pray you’re enjoying yourself–not sinking in indulgence, which seems to bring many good men and women down in the end. Even though they seem to have power and even fame (or infamy).

  41. Thank you for visiting The Dream Well, I hope you found it at least interesting, and even helpful. I see we share a love of poetry…perhaps also of dreams? “But I being poor, have only my dreams, I have spread my dreams under your feet, tread softly, because you tread on my dreams”

  42. Hi there Geraliregi and thank you for the follow.

I’m here to check you out, as they say, and I’m pleased I did. I noticed the Mau Mau tag at the top of your blog and that piqued my interest.

I was born in Mombasa in 1953 and spent some years growing up in those times of unrest and uncertainty. At present I am doing some research on the Mau Mau for a portion of my personal story.

How serendipitous for us to find each other.

    Linda from QP 🙂

    1. I’m glad we a share a common interest. Mau Mau is a complex topic that tend to absorb one with unexplainable intensity. I would really love to read or hear of some of your accounts growing up in the heat of anti colonial war. Most of my poetry is preoccupied with this period (1952- 1965)- allahgeneral@gmail.com is my email address. lets share our experiences

  43. Thank you GeneralIreqi for electing to follow my blog. I hope you find more posts you enjoy reading or can take issue against. I was reading some of your poetry since I used to write my own twenty years ago.

  47. Thanks for following my blog. So many comments…would be nice to have new comments space at the top instead of the bottom so as not to have to scroll through hundreds of comments. Not meaning this to be rude….just a suggestion for consideration.
    Thanks again!
