THOUGH WE SEPARATE

In bed we lay side by side;

It’s the dawn we hate see.

And the sun break through from behind

The eastern mountain now start to weep under its faded trees;

If we part, four years may pass without word

A few nights in the cold and we’ll forget each other’s touch.

At the door steps our smothered sighs can be heard

Though we separate, our heart to heart cord is hard to breach!
